The life of a fashion photographer may seem like a glamorous one: invites to all the hottest fashion shows, rubbing shoulders with international models backstage, capturing the essence and beauty of New York and seeing photos in print on newsstands worldwide. But Mark Raey, a contributor to Dazed magazine and a known face within the New York fashion scene, lives a life behind doors that may shock you. Although his work is everywhere and he is seen at some of fashion’s biggest events, he also spent five years homeless.
Living on a New York rooftop in the East Village, he would prepare for events in public bathrooms, make appearances without a home to go to at the end of the night - and now a new documentary is about to expose the truth.
“Homme Less” follows the behind the scenes life of Mark Raey, and shows a raw and unfiltered insight into a life of supposed ‘glamour, riches and fame”. This eye-opening and fascinating documentary is set for an August 7th release, check out the trailer below.
